Reg Gauge - For use over even flat substrates
Suitability
- Masonry Block
- Clay Bricks
- Hebel Panels/Blocks
- Cement Sheet
- Cement Panels
- Polystyrene Sheets
- Tiles
- PVC
- Painted Surfaces
Special Features
- Water soluble, easy to clean and environmentally friendly
- Easy to apply and fast to finish
- Superior adhesion eliminating drummyness and delamination
- Can be applied to damp substrates
- Excellent impact and mechanical strengths
- Minimal shrinkage
- Self priming to substrate
- Covers greater imperfections than normal skim coats
Surface Preparation:
All surfaces to be free of oil, dust, loose mortar prior to application
Painted Surfaces
Should be water blasted with a 3000psi pressure cleaner to remove any loose or chalky paint
Render One Skim Coat over painted surfaces should be mixed with a 2:1 water/polymer ratio
Note:The standard manufacturers warranty does not apply to painted surfaces as the original condition of the paint to substrate bond is not usually expected to be known
Back to TopMixing Directions:
- Determine the correct mixing ratio for the Render One Polymer. These vary depending on the substrate.
- New masonry block four (4) parts water to one (1) part polymer
- Brickwork four (4) parts water to one (1) part polymer
- Polystyrene two (2) parts water to one (1) part polymer
- Steel one (1) part water to one (1) part polymer
- Cement sheet two (2) parts water to one (1) part polymer
- Hebel four (4) parts water to one (1) part polymer
- Painted surfaces two (2) parts water to one (1) part polymer
- Tiles one (1) part water to one (1) part polymer
- P.V.C. one (1) part water to one (1) part polymer
Note: all finishing coats will be mixed with a 4:1 water/polymer ratio
- Pour approximately four and a half (4.5) litres of the diluted Render One polymer into a clean empty 15 litre pail
- Gradually add the selected Render One skim coat and mix with a variable speed/high torque mixing drill fitted with a suitable spiral mixer.
Note: Over mixing of high speed mixing may cause aerating which can affect usability.
- Mix thoroughly to a workable consistency and apply to substrate using approved application techniques
- Allow to dry completely before coating with selected Render One finishing coats.
Application Guide
Mix thoroughly to a workable consistency and apply to substrate using hawk and trowel or approved render spray pumps
Remove excess product with trowel in a horizontal motion to achieve a flat, defect free surface suitable for the application of a Render One finishing coat
Drying
Skim coats must be allowed to dry before applying Render One Finishing coats
